Sophia desensi
Sophia is a 20+ award-winning, bestselling author and editor with an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction. She studied under New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors such as Maria V Snyder, Priscilla Oliveras, Melissa Marr, Lee McClain and many others at Seton Hill University. She previously worked as a fiction editor at The Parliament House Press and marketing manager at Cabbit Crossing Publishing before founding Tulips in Bloom.
She brings both creative insight and industry experience to every project! She specializes in developmental editing, detailed line editing, marketable hooks, and query / submission material critique for genre fiction writers.

Developmental Edits
The goal of the developmental edit is to provide the author with clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to revise and elevate the manuscript’s storytelling and commercial potential. The Editor will focus on both creative execution and market readiness. This includes a full manuscript read-through, detailed edit letter, and in-line comments.

Line Edits
Line-level feedback focuses on enhancing the narrative point of view, clarity of sentence structure, word choice for voice and characterization, emotional depth, dialogue, interiority, and pacing to further hook and engage the reader in the story. The editor will perform a thorough read-through of the manuscript, a short editorial letter, and thoroughly annotated manuscript with very many detailed in-line comments and tracked changes.

In this package, the editor will discuss your individual needs and goals for the project. She's happy to work with both indie and traditional publication seeking clients. Submission material consists of query letter, synopsis, outline, and first 10 pages critique as often requested by agents and publishing houses.
